I recently purchased a nice addition to my zombie city.
It's a Hotel from Like life. What I liked about it is it has a movable fire escape on the back.
This is my first attempt at putting in the white grouting.
I am fairly happy at the outcome.
I still have to add the fire escape and awnings and other details but I am putting in the glass first and it is a pain when its assembled.

No amount of planning will ever replace dumb luck.

That repaint looks great. You did a nice job with the mortar on the building, it looks pretty realistic.

That's a solid addition to your board!

What scale are your miniatures? They don't look huge in comparison to the HO buildings...
from Mr.Vampire: "It's the paintjob that makes the miniature fight harder not the size."

Thanks Varangian, now I have to do the other buildings as well.
Believe it or not I used white shoe polish for the morter applied with the sponge applicator.
Let dry a few seconds, then wipe it off.

They are a mix of 20mm lead Elmhiem, Dark future, Warland miniatures, a couple 1/76 scale plastic soldiers and some HO people.

That's not bad.... 1/72 or 1/76 people compared to 1/87 buildings is pretty nice!

Great setup. If you're interested in a more personal RPG take on the Zombie Apocalypse, I recommend Dead Reign by Palladium Books.

Thanks MADMANMIKE I looked at your link for Dead Reign. It does look interesting.
I have been working on a combination of two sets of rules, http://homepage.ntlworld.com/roweller/ARSE/akulasrules.pdf (This was Posted by: snitcythedog at the beginning of this post) and "Kill Zone future warriors" along with a lot of my own homegrown additions to them. It has worked out very nicely and the additions are simple but give a lot of detail like breaking in windows, searching buildings, starting fires etc. With these morfed rules I can play out small or large groups pitted either against themselves or just the zombie threat. Plus it is all free, I like free.

Just finished a repaint on a matchbox car I want to use for Herscel's vehical.
In the series he had a 1990 Chevy Suberban but I can't find that anywhere.
This is a 1997 Chevy Tahoe that was really in bad shape I got at a garage sale for a quarter.
Also pictured is a repaint of Otis's pickup.
In the series he had a 67 Ford but this is a 57 Ford that was yellow and I bought new to do this.

Reaper has some in the Chronoscope line, in March many will be in the BONES line.

BTW, could you post a link to DPM? I can't find them on the web. Found something that looks similar but way more expensive called DPM.

Thanks for the link those are cool. I like Michelle. The only problem for me is they are 28mm and I am using 20mm or HO.

styx
Same thing I believe reapers are 28mm as well

Here is the link to the DPM Buildings (Woodland scenics) and yes they are expensive unless you get them on ebay.
