How old is the army? If they've all been sourced since the Slann died out it must have been a real labour of love to get hold of so many out of production miniatures.

I built is last year and yes many hours spent on ebay trying not to pay some of the eye watering prices old citadel stuff goes for. Broken and damaged miniatures were quite useful as they go cheap and with a bit of greenstuff can normally be rebuilt. but in the end a lot of patience was required.

Wonderful, wonderful stuff.  :-*

I especially love the mage priest on the palanquin -in that last army pic it looks like he's just turned over the ace and is daring you to show your hand. Sweet.  8)

Wow, great eye candy there.

As Andy H says, must have been a labour of love looking for all of those!

Very cool, I think I've seen these pictures before on your blog. I love the selection of models and the mix with 'normal' Aztec models. I have collected a number of Slann myself for a similar treatment but I haven't started on that yet 8) Anyway, great work and very inspirational 8)

the mage priest is great... never seen that before...
