Miskatonic University eXpeditions (MUX) 1930s
« on: March 30, 2012, 01:32:44 PM »
I managed to take some pix of my last painted miniatures :

A group of investigators, namely the core members of the MUX

Started to put some background story here:
http://penchslair.blogspot.fr/2012/03/mux-1930s-first-characters.html

Some evil oriental cultists (never seen 'good' cultists by the way ...)

... and a little something from Innsmouth

More to come ;)

Strange things but childhood memories: I painted the mini without thinking of that little Belgian reporter ... but it definitely turns out as a Tintin, sure ^^ Colours seem to be just right, nicely coming together. I guess when I try to figure out a young adult in the 30's, I definitely come to think about Tintin ^^

Thanks all of you for the comments ;)

Wow thats a pretty awesome captain!

German navy officer. I'm plotting to use him as a former Grabraueber (Relic hunters connected to the Thule Gesellschaft, then to the NSDAP) turned rogue. His uniform is therefore painted in colonial dress, which doesnt match with the jacket done for colder weather. I really like the miniature, as he's really capturing something of a mistery plus a sure danger.
He's a coldblooded former soldier on a mission, outside of the usual boundaries of human life. In a plain word : he's creepy !

Penchour:  Great paint jobs on some very appropo miniatures.  Great stuff.  One question though... Why no eyes/pupils?

Nice stuff.  Are those braziers made from Doctor Who Micro-Universe bases?
Back from the dead, almost.
