We thought about this years ago. Using normal overhead projectors never got anywhere though. If I had the money I vancied a table computer screen. Just like the one they use in the current Hawaii 5 O.

heh, another option (a mid way from projector to computer screen) could be a glass with a white panel, and a projector BELOW the table: this way you will have a pretty decent image, but with no shadows at all. You just need to have a projector with a diagonal lens (dunno how to say in english), otherwise everyone will have light in their eyes!
