I found a few more mins over a couple of weekends to glue this guy together and I applied some liquid greenstuff to finish him off over the weekend, even managed to get him undercoated and started to paint him last night (no photos yet though).

He's (obviously) to go with the wood elf type warband.

OUTSTANDING! The Tree Guy has a WONDERFULLY expressive face including that MAGNIFICENT nose. Your Green Stuff embellishments really made the mini. GREAT WORK!

That is one of the more recent additions to the LotR options that I think will make a great base for a 'proper' Ent.

Just so i'm perfectly clear there was no sculpting involved on this figure, I just used liquid greenstuff to add some texture to some otherwise smooth parts of the figure

I saw that explanation over on Tom's. Being unfamiliar with the mini, I just gave you the credit...you're talented enough that you could have done it.

thank you but this time GW actually made a pretty cool stock figure

, I guess peter Jackson's team probably deserve the actual credit.

The Tree Guy looks GREAT all primed. The white over black base coat is my preferred method also; it often gets mistaken, however, for a monochromatic finish...could explain why I have so many based & primed minis that just never seem to get painted. All that aside, have FUN with the finishing stages!

Yeah he wasn't base coted in black, he was based coated in light grey and that white plus black and browns is paint i've painted on him... it probably looks more obvious in the bigger pic if you click on the pic in my blog post...
