Cracking!! That just adds a bit of interest. It also draws your eye to the different patterns in the foam. As has been said, maybe some darker or off coloured browns. Maybe bits of GW Terracotta or Bestial Brown?

Greetings
Now have a bit of a problem, B&Q don't sell the paint, I have used, anymore :'(
I have already used it on some of the older bits.

hmm, I guess B&Q is your local Do-it-yourself store, something like Home-Depot (US) or Bauhaus (D), right? They should have those big paint mixing machine to get the tone you want.

I used something like that years ago, when starting with Hirstarts, and Bruce send me 3 paint-chips. I went to our DIY Store, gave them the chips and got three 5 liter cans of paint to the tones I supplied. They had to be mixed though as no ready-made color looked like them.
I still have that paint regardless of the number HA Buildings that I made.

Your harbor looks mighty good. One thing I didn't really see clearly in your shot was the steps leading from water to the quai/embankment, you painted them a light grey. As the water is always splashing on those steps they are always worn. Also did you make them one big stone per step or did you scribe stones per step?

Edit: Just saw that you got a match for your color. Forget my advice above.

So far it's looking better than good. Just wondering where you will store that bit of terrain when it is finished. *grin*
Please, do carry on

Jo

Just a wee update to let you know I have not forgotten this table.

The Kaptn's Rest - A small house for sale or rent with lovely views of the harbour. With a nice balcony to relax after a hard voyage.

Figures can even fit on the balcony (AndyM ;) )

That is a really nice finish to a great build! :-*

.....And, ha,ha, very funny! But people in the real world don't run around with bases on, so sometimes it can look a bit 'off'. But it diffinatetly works here!

Looking wonderful, I wish I had the patience to create terrain like that (actually I wish I had the space and then the patience lol).

Keep it up.

Fantastic Colin, can't wait to see it complete!

Just a quick question... those stunning arches that we can see in the background, how did you create them? Did you have to 'dig' the material out and then sand for a good finish?

Alright. First off everything about the latest update looks great. The stones look good, the building's well-put-together, it's all very nice. But there's one thing - the ramp's driving me crazy! Neither the texture nor the colour match the rest of the paving - was there a particular reason you chose not to use the existing paving method (scribed foam + paint)?

I mean, if there's a good deliberate reason, then by all means carry on, I was just wondering if that was intentional?

Yep thats just how it was done.

Sorry FramFramson I for got to paint it before I took the photo.
My intension is to paint it like cobblestones. Just to give the board different surfaces and colours.
