FOF rules arrived in mail today

Well, I broke down and bought Force on Force and Tomorrow's War which arrived today.

Have yet to read through them.

Hope they can be useful rules for my gaming!

Any suggestions on how best to learn these rather impressive tomes?

I have Force on Force but haven't played a game yet, still collecting/painting my Lebanon 1982 forces.

But, they are a very pretty set of rules and the mechanisms seems good. And obviously the rules have been praised pretty much everywhere, what can go wrong?

I bought them for my BEvo figures.  An impressive set of rules with a lot of nice mechanisms.  Played two games and was impressed. It gets challenging when there is lots of reaction fire that has to be carried out in the exact order, though!

I'd start off with just a couple of equally matched fire teams, nothing fancy until you get the basic stuff familiarised with. Then just keep adding more as you go on.
