Every Sunday morning I dread having to be matched up against Frank...the socks on those highlanders are incredible. And the civilians cheering them on...wow.

Great story and painting Frank. I really like the kid marching alongside, dreaming of the day he too can be a soldier.

a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice.

Top bombing Phreedh! Commiserations on your draw this week though!

Frank - what they all said.  8)

I'm trying to remember the film that your scene reminds me of - although I suspect it was set in the American Civl War...  ::)

Very cool bombers Phreedh, the colours of the Dutch soccer team were an excellent choice ;) Frank, your scene is beautiful and full of little details, like the guy sitting on the rock/wagon/stack of stuff in the background, watching the soldiers leave. Well done!
Let me hear the battle cry
Calling on the wind
Let me see the banners fly
Before the storm begins

The dutchness of the team is more down to poor photography than actual painting. They're pretty much blood red. =) I painted them almost 10 years ago, btw.

If the clothes are red then what colour is the beard on the dwarf? Great paint jobs though, even if they are ten years old 8)
