Another Zombie from Company B/Gears and Guts
« on: April 23, 2012, 02:43:38 AM »
Well, I'm sure everyone has seen the initial Japanese zombies sculpted for us by Brothers Vinni.  I was so pleased with the first models that I've gone ahead and commisioned more!

I always wanted to have some Pilots to use in game scenarios.  And whom better that a Japanese Kamekaze that somehow ditches his plane on an infested island.

So indulge me a bit.  We start with my crude sketch:

And Igor turns around and gives me this:

Amazing! Now I'm thinking of crazed US scientists (what, you didn't think I'd make the Axis the ones with the evil laughter did you?) and perhaps some Zombie kill teams, both turned and unturned.

Also in the works, are another batch of Zombie Heads.  The first 5 head sprue along with the first four zombies should be available later this week.  But we went ahead and had an internal discussion on which of the following new head designs to add to the sprue:

i think we couldn't decide.  So we went with all of them.  :D

Now this is interesting  :D Although it's not like I haven't been salivating over your website on many previous occasions anyway...

Very nice!

The pilot zombie reminds me of that scene from the movie Heavy Metal where the lochnar crashes into the back of the B17 and the pilot bail s out, landing on zombie island.

Re-heavy metal

Funny you should mention that.  I used to work for the guy who animated that sequence in the movie.  Not as a lead animator..but he drew the sequence or parts of it. He also worked on Fire and Ice.  The shows I worked on we're all pretty lame. :P

Was always my favorite scene of the movie.

My first thoughts exactly!  Very creepy scene.  Great miniatures.

Was always my favorite scene of the movie.

I loved the way that scene opens with the music and the B17s against the stars.

Fire and Ice was another fun flick.

Fire and Ice was awesome!  You should check out Starchaser, that's 80s awesome too!

Real cool stuff, I think of a pacific-version of Castle Wolfenstein. Something like Castle Horohito...
