Fantastic looking castle. Did you cut the walls down onto diagonals? If so, how did you do it...besides carefully ;)

Thanks for any tips and hints in advance.

Well, well.  All well and good, sir.  But where will the good Tuck be working on making his honey mead?  Yes, the bee hives.  But what about the brewery?   lol   Good inspiration for my own Robin Efforts - in a smaller scale, of course, and without so much original construction.  Fun period.

I've done a little more on the walled garden, i.e. planted it  :D

Just the one photo for now, got other commission work to be getting on with.

Got the iron gate to paint and the roof to do and also a bit of touching up here and there. The plants are accurate for the most part but I'm not that bothered if they're not for this project  :D (Hollywood never gets it right either  lol ).

what colors did you use to paint that stone work?

Just a spray tan colour inked and then dry rushed a light grey.

cheers

That is brilliant, James.
Very effective.
 :-* :-* :-*

I want to thank you as well, as you have just given me an idea for the perfect thing to get my mojo up and running.
I have been lacking the urge to do anything since crimbo and an ornamental-type garden is just the thing.
Nice and straightforward and usable in quite a few genres.
Cheers!

You really have an eye for that architectural modelling! You could almost make a living off it I think.  lol

Faaar to long without an update but I have one now  :D

I've had some convalescing time recently (tore some ligaments in my lower back  :( ) and even though I had normal work to do I got some me time in also  :)

Every castle worth it's weight needs a moat so that's what I've been doing. I've used the underneath of my Mars boards to save time, effort, money and space and they will give some depth also.

Basic profiles cut out of blue foam, water is acrylic and more blue foam on the top. I'll be making a blog post to go through the details in more detail over the weekend but for now some choice piccies  :)

I've also got some more figures painted but haven't taken any pictures yet and I've nearly done the roof on the walled garden house.

Most of these were taken with my camera phone so not the best quality but I'll use my decent camera when complete.

We have a test game on Monday for the rules and to make sure we know what we're doing and hopefully the moat will be done by then...

cheers

James
