Prepare to claw your eyes out...
« on: 30 April 2012, 05:14:33 PM »
Well, they look worse after taking pictures... I swear.

Both about 40mm high. Oh and the creature with the bugle thingy is an entry for Mini Sculptures competition.

Not quite finished, and the arms are too long I reckon. But it'll have to do.

Axes by Kevin White.

I apologise if there are too many pictures.

Technically they're not bad at all, the putty looks smooth and the detailing rather sharp and nice. I think the anatomy and proportions look really weird, and the posture of them make me think "cheap chinese action figures". The humongous udders look out of place too. A bit creepy actually. =)

Oh they're fairly crap I have to admit.

Creepy? Definately.

Now just think what the world would say if they saw you playing with toy soldiers...  ;)

VERY NICE WORK! The proportions to my mind, such as it is, add to the the character of the pieces...they have a lanky, rangy look to them that I find appealing.

I doubt the World much cares what We, the Enlightened Ones, are up to. All things considered, it's reassuring that they're not taking notice.

Thanks for the kind words.

However the bugler is getting a remake from the waist up. Sahmelessly cribbing from a more talented sculptor than I. Happily he doesn't seem to mind though.  :)

I agree we are enlightened, I just wish a few more people could look past my 'fixation' with anthro creatures. I could do guys in armour, elves in leaves etc. However it's all been done before.

made a few changes to the bugler, figured one or two of you might like a look  ;)

Still need to add fur, most notably cheek tufts but i'll do that later.

As someone who does Mushrooms & Trees with faces, I fully understand...yet another "Great Minds" thingy.

I'd like to see those mushrooms  :)

And yes, great minds indeed.
