Just Seen Avengers Assemble (No spoilers)
« on: April 30, 2012, 06:31:11 PM »
Not just now, Sunday really and I have to say that its the best superhero movie ever.

The characters are spot on, the action is great and the one liners made me laugh more than some comedy's I've seen.

I heartly recommend that everyone goes and sees it - if only for the Hulk/Thor and Hulk/Loki scenes.

Joss Whedon is my new god (until Prometheus at least!)

I've been waiting for months!  I think I'll go see the midnight showing on Thursday night.

Friday's work will just have to suffer!

I got to see a sneak preview last Wednesday.  I totally agree with Col. Tubby.  I was blown away.  If they would have shown it again I would stayed and watched it a second time.

Thanks guys, I will try to get in the movie later this week.
I was looking forward for ages to this and somehow my work schedule is always overloaded when a movie like this comes out...  ::) :?
cheers and keep on gaming, Agis - http://www.adpublishing.de

Saw is on Sat night, film was almost ruined by all the preschoolers in the cinema, and a fair few preteens as well for that matter. A very good well made film, I liked the fact that it when it focused on a certain hero (ie IronMan) it felt like you were watching thier movie, then skipped to another hero and so on.

Loki for 3rd greatest movie villian of all time (Darth Vader 1st and Ming the Merciless 2nd)

A pretty bunch of peeps seem to think AA is indeed the bee's knees in superhero cinema. Some are a little less enthusiastic tho and that makes me wonder if it gets at least one "Whedon-star" in some reviews... But of course I'll see it at some point, prolly only when it hits BluRay tho.

It's down to "93% fresh" on Rotten Tomatoes from 97% it was the last time I looked... Still, it's a dead good result for a live action flick.

I'm going to a Marvel Movie Marathon tomorrow (Thursday). Starts at 11am with Iron Man, then Hulk, Iron Man II, Thor, Captain America culminating in the American premiere at midnight of Avengers. My ass is going be sore....

I suppose if you want to be critical, its not the greatest film ever made, but it certainly is one of the best blockbusters for a long time, its also one of the best superhero films. On top of all that, if you have been following the previous films as a roadmap to the Avengers, it is one hell of a pay off.

I really enjoyed it and I freaking HATE Whedon.

Also, I'm more of an Art Film person.

That said, for a Hollywood system summer movie, Avengers was excellent, much better than Avatar or any of the other crap of the past few years.

I enjoyed both Thor, and Cap. A., the latter moreso.

But this latest Avengers movie really works on all levels!

Perfect Superhero movie.
