Beautiful work, HvM. I love the head swaps. It really has the right feeling for GoT

Fantastic.  Another big GoT fan, and I love seeing minis painted up to represent its characters.

Thank you guys!

Yes i sculpted the fur and beards (of the perry heads) with green stuff.

The next bases are some archers, billmen, more pikemen and some knights.

Very nice work on the miniatures and just the right colour tones! Also love your snow bases; would you share your recipe?

Brilliant work! Nice conversion and what a paintjob!  :-*
First time that I don't see Lannister or Stark. Brilliant idea to create the Mormont! :)
What units are you going to add next? Are you planning some cavalry too? Captain Blood has done something really cool with plastic cavalry bits....[insert here the forgotten link...]

Thanks!

First you have to do the usual sand-basing. After that I add some watered down mix of GW Badab Black and a dark brown colour on the base. While it's still wet, I put some fine grass over it (in this case the wet ground works like a glue). After drying I put some turfs on it and finally the snow (a mix of white colour, PVA glue, water and baking soda).

Brilliant work! Nice conversion and what a paintjob!  :-*

I will definitely add some cavalry to my Mormont army. Captain Blood's conversions are awesome and a really cool inspiration!

The second base is finished. Now the pikemen are complete. As usual you can find bigger pictures on my blog.

They look absolutely great. Respect. They have this no-nonsense feeling about them that makes them really believable. And I like the way you painted them. Great job. I especially like that while they do look like one unit they yet seem to be individuals, as they don't wear one uniform. Well done!
