Secrets of the Third Reich Zombies
« on: January 31, 2008, 02:44:48 PM »
So I just finished my 8th and final (for now) WW2 zombie. I intend to use them for a modern (1990s) game, despite the fact that they're in WW2 German uniforms. But the way I see it, close enough!

The zombies themselves are from "Secrets of the Third Reich" (by Westwind Productions). The miniatures are cool and were fun to paint, but they aren't the greatest sculpts. A lot of little mistakes. But I'm still quite happy with them!

You can view the whole album here, but I'll post smaller versions of them all inline for convenience.

Zombie 1

Zombie 2

Zombie 3

Zombie 4

Zombie 5

Zombie 6

Zombie 7

Zombie 8

And, finally, here are a couple group shots of the miniature horde:

I suppose they could be re-enactors on their way to a show, that got caught up in the zombie outbreak.  :)

I'm going to stop clicking on threads that have the word 'zombie' in them. The pictures always make me feel a little ill.

I suppose that is some kind of tribute to the painters here.  :)

Couple of things with the ww zeds:The bodies don't always have holes for the necks so you have to make sure you cut the necks down and drill and pin for a good fit, a few of your guys have a bit of a giraffe thing going on! ;) They look a little 'clean', maybe a wash would darken em down. Finally not a huge fav of coloured base edges, each to his or her own but I prefer em black.

Good dangely eyeball and thanks for sharing matey.

Thanks for the responses, everybody!

@Commander -- I know what you mean with the giraffe thing, but I like zombies to look deformed, so I'm ok with that. And clean is sorta my style, I don't like any other way.

Thanks for the comment on the base edge -- I wasn't really sure what to do with those. I just cut them out of most of the pictures. :)
