Plastic Slota Type Bases
« on: February 02, 2008, 09:27:15 AM »
Anyone know of a company that sells cheap plastic slotta type bases?

They don't have to have the slots in them... but I am finding that I need different sizes... such as 30mm round... I also need the GW style base... not the ones with the larger rounded edges.  Also needed are larger round bases for bigger monsters... 40mm to 50mm.

You can never have too many bases.  I am mounting my Pulp and Wild West figures on metal fender washers... but since I had already started my sci-fi miniatures with plastic slotta bases when playing Necromunda, I will stick with those for my Sci-Fi and Modern Zombie miniatures.  :o

I think EM-4 carries them for a cheap(er) price.

Impact! Miniatures sells 20mm and 25mm slotted flat rounds and 30mm and 40mm solid flat rounds (no large rounded edges).

Our prices are actually cheaper than em4 for the 4 bases we sell (and we can ship from the USA).  Especially the 30mm ones as Impact! owns half of the mould that creates these bases.  Basically I wanted a 30mm flat round base for my minis and no one sold one in plastic ... so due to the joy of owning a gaming company ... contacted my base supplier and together we worked with China to produce this new type of base.  They just started selling last year.  Odds are pretty good it will be a long long time before I sell off the 10000 I had to order on my first order.   But my miniatures look nice now ...
