I'd be happy to pledge if it was UK based but the postage and possible customs charges are putting me off.

With any luck the customs thing will be mitigated somewhat. With Zombicide (same situation, but France), they've said that as these are pledges of capital and not actual orders they will mark the packages as gifts and list the value as the production value so that they'll hopefully get through easier. I would expect the same thing for this.
So many projects..... so little time.......

I grant that may help a bit but the customs officials (at least here in Finland) don't necessarily believe it's a gift or that the value written on the box is the correct one - nor should they for that matter.

If they pick up the box (as they well might since it's likely a fairly hefty one) they then require you to present an invoice for the produce - so the invoice in the box should definitely be on the production value and not on the pledge value. Not at all sure what happens if you don't have one at all these days.

Such a thing happened to me once back in the 1980's (when everything from abroad was still handled through the customs) and they made me calculate the values of separate books in the box to get the base value. I suppose they'd have kept my stuff if that operation would've not worked and I'd have had to get a proper invoice from the sender to present to them in order to get it.

But as said, this is how it works in Finland and I'm not sure if they are more lenient/trusting in other countries. Probably not since the locals aren't taking some of my stuff in even if the box says they should (albeit by a small margin) :P

Seemed like the Biohazard level was getting all the love, so I bumped my pledge up from Quarantine.

I haven't actually pledged yet.   I need to let the other purchases I've made simmer down a bit.....

Plus June will mark my birthday and fathers day, so I'll drop not-so-subtle hints about where any present money should go.

Yeah, 25 figures (including the resin Kara figure) for $20 doesn't seem like a bad deal. Plus you get a print, and a patch. That's WAY better than a wall scroll and a key chain, or a pencil topper, and a set of dog tags!"

Too bad about the UK/EUrope shipping/customs problem though. I sure hope Studio McVey and CMON can come up with something satisfactory even if it is extra figures or something to balance out the shipping costs.

This is getting harder to resist!   ;D

How do the McVey figures compare size-wise to Hasslefree.  I've read that Kev sculpted some of these minis but will they match his Colonial Marines and civis (as I see a merger with my Aliens game)?

My LAF Gallery is HERE
Minis (foot & mounted) finished in 2025 = 74
(2024 = 38; 2023 = 151; 2022 = 204; 2021 = 123; 2020 = ???)

I think they should merge very smoothly. Perhaps the HF ones may be one or two millimetres shorter, but that's no problem since in real life people have different heights. The important thing for mixing lines is that they have the same proportions, and since both are sculpted by K.W. they'll be spot on in that regard.

Nevertheless, Dwartist have minis from HF and McVey, so if he happens to read this... another comparison pic, please!

As Mike has said there are discussions going on on this and CMON are taking this issue serious, but nothing firmed up as yet.

Also remember that the samartians could be used as enhanced troopers, (for me spartans potentially) so the slight height/scale increase will just separate the men (and women) from the boys (and girls so to speak).

Go on, another UK pledge and more chance of something happening to remove that dreaded customs issue.

Latest update: Update 10 gameplay video:

Really like the rules as seen in the video, really familiar (as an old skool space hulk player and current game projects are stripped down AP based homebrews) but very refreshing with constant action, fast single dice rolls phases for shooting, reflect action combat resolution, liking that alot and very portable off gameboard and onto gaming table i reckon.

So glad I'm in on this, really looking forward to it even more now.

Well it's past $120,000 so the biohazard level ($100) now comes with 75 minis counting the resin Kara. It also has plastic infection and shield markers that fit on the bottom of the textured bases, and plastic nano markers. Two new soldier sculpts and one new strain sculpt have also been added to the selection in every box for more visual variety and less chorus-line effect. And there's also the signed art print and the patch.

If the $140,000 level is reached then a Barker Zosa with a huge pulse cannon will be included in every box of the game.

That's 76 total minis for the ($100) "Biohazard" backers (and a print and a patch) and 51 minis for the $80 "Quarantine Zone" backers who just get the basic box set with no frills or extras.

(" We've got Movement" -> $190 = 152 minis total, + 2 prints, and two patches. " Keep Firing" -> $280 = 228 miniatures + 3 prints, and 3 patches.)

EDIT: Barker Zosa will be in plastic and he will have BOTH of his weapons (flamer and big zap gun thing sometime called a pulse cannon and sometimes called a plasma lance ) as options.
