That looks fantastic, well done.  I look forward to seeing it painted.

I like the new Shift. A bit blocky, but OK.
Maybe some Sikorsky 1/48 Helicopter kit parts will help...

Yeah, if I could only find one!  lol Seriously, I looked far and off, and barring Ebay (which I wouldn´t touch with a lightminute-long Paratron stick), I couldn´t find a Sikorsky helicopter in fitting scale and shape.

I used this "re-imagined" artwork as inspiration:

It did indeed turn out a bit too rectangular, but now that I´ve slapped some paint onto it, it´s getting better.

Now why do I never think of doing clever things like that ? Hope you can round it off a bit like the plans and make it more Futuristic . It should look good painted anyway.

After some 46 hours without a modem (with assorted withdrawal symptoms) and 2 hours of electrical fiddling and installing (with lots of gratuitous cursing) we managed to get my parent?s internet access back up and running (10yo modem died a silent death on thursday), and now I can show you the painted "Shift" flying tank, in a more "APC-ish" variant than the last:

Painted using Vallejo and Revell Acrylics.

Very nice, they truly capture the late 60's early 70's SF feel!

It is NOT a good thing if I get the "120 days warning" anytime I respond to this thread of mine.  lol

Or I may just be displaying long-term motivation.

Anyway, here´s a work in progress shot of a squad of "Ziegonians". Actually, they´re Regiment Games Drantakhs which I bought from Matakishi (thanks a bunch!) at the BLAM last weekend. WIP since I still have to procure suitable hex bases (hope to get a bunch on Sunday at Fiasco).

I´ll upload a finished pic ASAP. As for the paint scheme, I wanted them different from the Terran troops, but "spacey" without being too colourful, so I settled for white spacesuits (VMC off-white, washed with khaki, highlighted with off-white and Revell AC pure white) with red accents and blue-metallic (Gunze Sangyo acrylic paint) guns. The latter turned out a bit more toy-like than I planned them, so I may touch them up at a later time, but it´s not that bad...

Awesome stuff Chris, I can't believe how quickly you've got these done!  :-* I haven't even looked at the ones I picked up of Matakishi yet!

They look excellent. Remind me of Admiral Akbar (sp?) from Star Wars.

If it's those plastic slotta hex bases you're after I'm sure I have some which you can have.
