Pulp Street scene
« on: 05 February 2008, 03:07:08 AM »
Here are some photos of a building I have been working on. It's made of cardboard with Plastruct OScale Rough Brick glued to the outside. I washed the brick in black paint used thin cardboard on the corners. The boards are wooden sticks painted and glued on. The roof door is scratch built with cardboard and more painted sticks.

I think I need to add a bit more to the building to dress it up a bit, perhaps some signs and maybe a small attached yard.

What do you all think?

Cheers,

I like the building.

Your pictures have a nice feel about them.

Nicely done. It looks fine as is IMO, but you could dress it up with one of those old time billboards they used to paint right on the side of the buildings. Your idea of a yard or vacant lot next to it is also good.

Another more complicated idea would be either a fire escape or balcony/covered porch on the back.

Hmm...yes a fire escape/staircase would be a nice additon, and one of those painted on bilboards would dress up the rather empty side.

Next I want to do a wharehouse with a removeable roof.
