A friend once described the German sense of humour to me as a guy giving his friend a jack in the box then saying "I cant wait to see your face when the little man pops out"

Honestly, I was only half joking (if I was, it would have started along the lines of "a Space Marine, an Imperial Guardsman and a Grox calf walk into a bar...").  I seem to recall there was some "quasi-official" piece of fluff sometime around the release of the "new Rhino" describing the above procedure to explain why the seats are so small.  o_o

Regarding our taste of humour, I just want to point out that you anglophones apparently like the concept of Schadenfreude so much that you adopted the word into your language. Case closed. ;)

I think Chris is right; I recall something similar.

Around the shop, whenever carriage by Rhino was mentioned, I usually heard something about how much Space Marines love to 'spoon'.

That was embarrassing enough.

Particular words borrowed lacks significance, though. Remember, English is the alleyway mugger. We see something like the Académie française, and say, now THAT'S funny!   ;)

For example, software is such a boring word; I think we should steal 'logiciel' immediately.

For the big vehicle, at the very least, smaller jerry cans.  lol

I'd say go with whatever you like. It looks fine as a 28mm vehicle to me.

Then again I have all sorts of vehicales and contraptions that serve both 15 and 28mm scale, so whatever floats your boat in my case!

I think that now you've added the anti-grav bits, it looks much better for 28mm. The extra size is for the generators :) .

Almost done!  I've got to make a weapon mount for the spot I removed the machine gun from and cover up one more hole on the hull.  I should have it painted soon.

This is coming along great. The paint job will sell this perfectly. I love the team too. Very nice.

Bit put off by the terrain, though. Ash wastes of Necromunda?  lol

Really coming along; also looking forward to seeing it clad in paint.

The lack of the wheels goes a long way toward getting rid of the scale issue.

I've said it before, but I'm always impressed by your work on these conversions. I nearly bought a big bag of tanks in a charity shop the other day just because I thought it would be fun to do the kind of thing you did with them before remembering I have absolutely no use for tanks.

I do have a little toy jeep awaiting the knife, though! :D

Funny you should mention that. I thought it made great terrain. I was about to ask how he painted it till my brain kicked in.

How did this turn out?
Great idea.

I'm going to have to pick one of these up myself.

I think it looks just fine scale wise. There are all kinds of different millitary transports in Sci-Fi & futuristic movies & other media. They very greatly in size. This could be some kind of long distance transport & support vehicle carrying more than just a handful of combat troops. Keep up the great work. Looks like it is coming along well.

And, compared to a Capitol Imperialis, it's down right puny. Tiny. Miniscule.  lol

I crack me up.  lol lol

Well I finally got it painted.  Only 8 months after I finished the conversion so not bad time for me unfortunately.

Here is a back shot.  My Krylon "Matte" varnish went a little glossy so I will be hitting it with some Testors when I get a chance to pick up another can.  For now I needed it protected so I could game with it.

I'm pretty happy with the end results.  Fits nicely with my army.

I had my doubts when you first posted this.  But...it looks great next to those guys.  Well worth the effort you put into it. Mine is still untouched.
This is my boomstick!
