Yet another EotD thread
« on: June 26, 2012, 12:41:18 AM »
Thanks to various people on this forum (you know who you are) I am also doing a small Empire of the Dead set. Whilst I am waiting for the Rules to arrive I thought I would start with what I had already got and a couple of figs I traded with Mason.
I thought I would start a thread up as since the LPL I have been lacking motivation to paint (I still haven't finished what was meant to be my final entry, although I have finished the pirate boat, just got to paint 8 more figures. I also have a lot of stalker terrain and more figures, vehicles and a helicopter to do).
Here is what I have so far
Firstly some character figures
:
Left to right: Guild of harmony Steam punk Dorothy will use Lady Luck rules, Artizan Bob Cratchit and Tiny Tim the first of a small collection of Civillians, The next two are from Mason, Thanks, LAM adventurer to be part of a Gentlemen's Club, Iron Clad Miniatures CH0 Egor will use slightly modified Cirgue du Noir Man Ape rules. Backgrounds to follow.
Secondly the start of my first faction using the Hellfire Club rules, The Asylum for Wayward Victorian Girls, inspired by this book,
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/7327100-the-asylum-for-wayward-victorian-girls
written by Emilie Autumn an artist who sings and plays amazing Violin.

Left to right: All Freebooter Miniatures, The Blessed Contessa, Lady Aprilla, Emilie Liddell I didn't like the figures oversized gun, so changed that and removed hat and resculpted hair also need to make her ekes smaller :o,

Sorry for poor photo, Veronica. Individual backgrounds will follow with completed paint jobs.
The basic concept is that the inmates of a female mental institution have taken over the Asylum, the majority of them have been put in their by Jealous/Greedy relatives, embarassed rich "Gentlemen" and abused by the staff, they can summon zombies in the form of  the freshly lobotomised staff, can any one suggest suitable miniatures any Victorian Nurse or Doctor types?
All the figures will be based on Oshiro Model Terrain round clear plastic bases, will also be purchasing some of his wonderful Victorian buildings. I will be using mainly Westwind, LAM and Foundry Miniatures and any others that take my fancy.

Great minis! It's going to be a great faction. As for a Doctor and Nurse may I suggest these from Fiendish Fabrications.

Like the idea of using Egor as a surrogate for the apoe man, and really looking forward to seeing now the project comes along :)

I love the concept for this faction!
Ingenious!

Looking forward to seeing where this goes, and of course, to when you start slapping some paint on these lovelies.
