No Joy. :-(
« on: 26 June 2012, 11:25:48 PM »
So on the weekend I ordered Condottiere from Foundry as it was part of their big book sale (up to 70% off!) To save on shipping i ordered some figures as well (that I hadn't really needed to buy.)

Yesterday I received a PayPal refund for the book. Apparently there was a "hitch" of some kind - or was it "glitch" - and the books wasn't actually meant to be on sale.  :(

I's still getting the stupid figures though as I had had an earlier email saying they had shipped.

Mind you still no response about my previous order - I ordered nine blisters of one code during their last big sale and received seven blisters of a different code...

*sigh*

I have to admit that I have never had a problem with a Foundry order, but I have seen that others have.  Not sure how unusual this is, though.

I know someone who used this offer to get some figures and had the book order cancelled.
Still got their figures under the offer rates and was well pleased!

Well, the books weren't sold out - the Condottiere book at least is still available on their site.

I got the refund e-mail aswell. I had just bought the "Northeast Frontier" and "Burma and Indo China" books... :'(
And I still want them! But with the 70% off, of course  ;)

I sent Foundry an e-mail but got no response... :?

Ordered FP003 - 19th Century Central Asia And The Himalayan Kingdoms and FP004 - 19th Century China for $15.31 and despite the fact that the more than 50 copies were listed in stock, received a refund with the following message:

We are very sorry but we have run out of discount books. This is entirely our fault and you have been refunded for any of them which you have ordered. Get in contact for 20% off your next order. Thank you for your custom -Alex.

Both books are now $51.04 each and still in stock. If they didn't want to offer the books at these prices, what was the point of the sale?

 >:( >:( >:(

The inventory levels were updated throughout the day…

The 20% off consolation offer is worthless, due to the prices charged to non UK customers. :(

Review thread: Condottiere by Frank Chadwick...

Consider it a service on Foundry's part, ;) as there are too many problems with these rules and the author isn't helpful and possibly with an attitude.

meaning you didn't have your book refunded? Or that you didn't actually order anything in last weekend's sale?
