Imperial guard kill team for inquisimunda
« on: July 09, 2012, 03:21:03 PM »
Hello everyone,
You have all seen Pil's squat smuglers and well, he has enemies...
I created an imperial guard kill team with some GW valhallan models. The pictures aren't great, but you'll get the idea. I just thought it would be nice to show what the squat smuglers are up against...

The whole group, haunted by some flying skulls or whatever...

My leader, Jura. I exchanged his lasgun for a bolter

Valdik, in this case the lasgun he was carying magically changed into a heavy bolter, which he may or may not have stolen from a space marine scout.

Next up is Volli with a flamer

And then there is Waldo... Waldo is the inspiration for all names of the members of my kill team. At the beginning of our campaign I did not have any imperial guard models, so I proxied them with EM4 models. One of the models I used was my where's wally conversion (try finding him in some of the pictures in this battlereport: http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=22403.0). Since he was doing rather well in combat, I couldn't just replace him with any Valhallan model and so painted this model with a red and white striped hat (which, than again, is not particularly well visible on the picture)

Than there's Charlie

and Holger.

Next is Hetti. I painted this model years ago as a single model, but decided to use the same colour scheme for the rest of the kill team. The only thing I really changed with the other models was the colour of the weapons.
Hetti's lasgun is still a boring metal colour, while the others got yellow weapons.

Last but not least, except in vertical height... there is Walter. Walter is just there to have a smaller model on the table than a squat...

Hi!

Excellent stuff! I especially like the expression of the guard with the flamer. He looks like he has shocked himself by firing his weapon!

All the best!

Awesome. I love Valhallans. The Heavy Bolter weapon swap looks great.
