Permission to come aboard?
« on: 10 July 2012, 03:32:02 PM »
(Not that I wasn't already, but a bit of politeness never hurt anyone!  ;) )

I am from Munich, Bavaria, am in my mid-forties, have a wife, a child, and a cat (not necessarily in that particular order), and in my other life I'm a paper modeller with the main focus on the Imperial German Navy and German commercial aviation between the wars.

However, the trouble with 'serious' modelling is that there are always facts and nitpicking and rivetcounting that sometimes interfere with the fun. Now, as a hobby to escape the inconveniences of the hobby, I do some VSF and orky stuff, too (that fits the picture, doesn't it?). I've attached two examples of my occasional forays, a Gobsmasha (more pictures, construction report) and the Martian fortress villa from Mayhem in Paper (more pictures, construction report).

...oh yes, and I can only do small.  :D

Bye!
Michi

Welcome to LAF.

May you have a long and merry stay with us.
I know you're too old to play with toy soldiers. So give them to me... NOW!

So long as you can photograph "small" that well, there is no problem at all.  Welcome!
Back from the dead, almost.

Permission granted! Welcome aboard!
Life vests are right here in the cupboard beside the staircase to the brigde, but you won't need them...
Take your time, look around and find a cozy place for your hammock, as you won't leave soon...
You might also watch your step and take care of your head, as the bulkheads have only small doors. If you're going to the Engine Room, be wary of moving parts, steam blasts and plasma leaks.
For your own good you should avoid visiting the brig ;)

As we tend to say: Ei Gude, wie? ;)
