SYW - New figure range on start

Hi all,

I planning to start a new range of SYW-figures. After a longer search I finally found a sculpteur and a caster helping me to become my dreams come true.



On my blog you can see two pictures of the first poses.

As I want to release high quality figures I would like to know your opinions about the figures. The heads are missing at the moment.

The first figures will be Austrian fusiliers and grenadiers.

Please give me some feedback about the proportions.

These look good so far. It's a little difficult to comment without seeing them with their heads. Interesting poses - a nice change.

Looking very good. 2 months ago i felt 7yw was very short in options now we have loads coming out which can only be a good thing for gamers.

Any details of what is planned for the future?

Mike, it would help to provide some bigger close-up pics of the figs...that way we can comment on them before they go to production...and if necessary, recommend any changes.

It would also help to have a comparison shot of the greens next to current manufacturers of 7YW figs...like Foundry, etc.

Wishing you the best of luck on this new venture! Making figs won't make you rich at all...but as you said, it is a dream come true to have the figs you have always wanted.

I only got these pictures so far from my sculpteur. I will ask him to make pictures of the greens next to FrontRank, Crusader and Foundry.

And also to make some close up´s too.

Hi,

the next step had been done. The first casts exist and I will get them next week. Here are some pictures of inked versions. Further pictures can be seen on my blog.  

There are also some pictures of greens showing a comparison to the ranges of other manufacturers. These pictures are included in the forelast post on my blog.

The following work I will have to do is to construct my homepage for selling the miniatures and also to paint some of my figures.

Lovely lines with deep detail which make them easy to paint. If I may make one criticism it's that they are perhaps a little stiff looking.

That being said, I like them. Let's see some comparisons please.

I´ve also posted some photos of the first mini I got ready. Unfortunately I´m a little bit out of training concerning painting figures. But the photos should give a hint that the figures also would be able to be painted as Bavarians of the SYW.
