Aggro 84's VSF / Steampunk thread
« on: July 30, 2012, 02:45:17 AM »
Some of the first models I started painting, after a long 10- 15 year absence from gaming, were all VSF themed.
I was really inspired by some of the stuff I was seeing by folks on this forum.
I haven't really shown a lot of these older minis off here, because many need a bit of a dusting off.
I just ordered a bunch of Brigade games minis and I'm planning on revisiting a lot of my VSF stuff.

I thought I'd start off with a Steampunk game with Wee Aggro using my LAM miniatures.

There's more pics and a short write up on the blog:

Looks like you had a cracking time.
Great minis, and I DO love those buildings.

I must stop looking at your LAM minis, it just makes me feel bad for not getting around to painting mine.

Great looking game. Nicely painted minis and some good terrain. I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with next  :)

While I have been waiting on an order from Brigade Games to arrive, I've been reflecting on some of my older miniatures.

I have a lot of VSF stuff that needs a good dusting. I'm hoping to give some of them a little TLC. I might even post a few "Before, After" pics as things progress.

But here are a few of my older minis that look pretty good as is.

Eureka's Clockwork Death pants. The bases look a little small and could use some flocking or rubble.

Westwind

Eureka Impervious suits.

Black Tree Designs.

Over The Wire Miniatures. I painted them as Prussians. Again, maybe some flocking and or rubble on those bases.

Inspiring! I really like the clockworkers. Didn't really know those minis although I might have spotted them a while back.

I really ought to get my arse in gear with VSF. It is such a great setting... and I have looooooads of stuff. Oh well.
