28mm Armoured Car
« on: July 30, 2012, 10:53:51 AM »
Hi All,

Back in the beginning of June I had my first vehicle "sculpt / design" printed in 3D. The intention was always to have resin copies produced.

Its taken a while with new prints needed after I wrecked the first set and a couple of moulds having to be made but the first copies arrived at the weekend.

Designed as an Infantry Support vehicle, it can scoot round the battlefield lending its auto-cannon to ground troops as and when needed. Can also act as a scout car.

Some shots with a 28mm figure

Cheers

Adam

where did you get that german helmet from? I need a bunch of german helmets for my orx.

I sculpted it and then had it cast.

Very nice!

Unrelated although not entirely I googled around for tanks yesterday and found these:

There are loads of different styles to them... haha. But OK I guess yours is nicer.

Nice, but not sure re space for driver and gunner. Unless it's automated or Hud controlled by the driver. Like it though not a scout car but as you say scoot car :)

Again another component request, hope you can rethink your zero component policy as you've some great little bits that would be well received.

Cheers.

I like "Scoot Car"  :D

I agonized over the size and actually made it bigger than first designed. I can honestly say though there would be room for a driver and a gunner, not a comfy ride by any means though.

Even things like the back doors were sized to allow human sized crew to slide through.

I had a Foundry Kubelwagon on the desk when I was designing it and it was originally that sort of size, but it just seemed too small so I up scaled it by 45-50% (cant quite remember).

Components would just take up too much time I'm afraid  :(  Sorting orders, packing, invoicing, sorting stock etc...  I don't have the time to do it and the others guys in the office are snowed too. Sorry. We're really not doing it to be difficult.
