Many more photos on my blog

It took me far too long to paint these, I baulked at all the beards...

They look great

Simple yet effective paint scheme.
Yearly painting challenges only show me how useless I am at painting...

That's a great army. The paint scheme is great indeed. I wonder if GW will ever make new boxes with dwarf warriors based upon the hobbit? Because the dwarf warriors from the hobbit films look very different from the ones GW is selling at the moment:

I think the new dwarves from the hobbit look quite cool. But the old GW ones too.

Very nice. I love the colour palette you've used, simple but effective.

I imagine if they think there's some money in it for them they probably will. They do look very cool though.

The dwarfs from the Hobbit movie image are pretty cool... Flies in the face of GW's LotR policy to NOT give dwarves the option for spears... But weren't the dwarfs from the Iron Mountains all armed with mattocks in the book?!?!?!

thanks

Thanks for the kind words!

Can't remember about the mattocks. I like the new helmets, and would have preferred it if GW had given their sculpts the more geometric shields that are in the extended DVD sketches. I'm sure GW will release new dwarves.

Neldoreth, your dwarves are pretty stunning if I may say so, and definitely sharper painting.
