Urga
« on: 24 August 2012, 11:46:24 PM »
Does anyone have any town plans or area plans of the city from our period?

Jeepers - that's going to take some serious looking into and I reckon you'll end up going on written descriptions unless you've got access to the Chinese State archives  :D.
I'm sure I've seen one or two quite crude/artful maps from an earlier period though ...

Oh, read your emails BTW  ;)

Maybe these people could help.

I imagine them to be more of a "where ever I lay my hat" kind of city planners.

Reading the wiki entry on Urga I find it way cool that it was a ambulating capital for many years. I wish we did that here in Sweden. The Royal Caravan, the High Court yurga and the National Museum Baldachuin just set of to whatever place was in fashion that particular moment. "Hey, I hear the paisley spotted warbler has been spotted in Ottenby. Shall we go and have a look? Bring the department, why don't you.."

Oh, and just because I said it...

can't you just cheat. Build a few suitable buildings, throw them onto the table and say, knowledgeable, that is exactly what it was like. I mean, who is going to argue with you?
