WW2 German Test Figure
« on: 26 August 2012, 08:07:10 PM »
Hi all,

I have just ordered some 28mm Wargame Factory Germans and thought I would try a test figure, as I've never painted a WW2 German before.

I'm going for a 1944-45 figure, and found this old boy lurking at the bottom of my spares box.  It's an old Esy Eights figure from years ago.
I'm not sure if I've got the fieldgrey colour right, so am hoping that all of you WW2 experts can point me in the right direction.

Cheers

Andy

The miniature looks great, well done. I like the pose of this miniature from the mentioned company.

Cheers,

Helen
Best wishes,

I think everything looks great except the color of the uniform should be a bit more pastel (ie. lighter than the field grey helmet color) & a wee bit more grey .  John

These are Gothic Line models : www.gothicline.webs.com
I used Field gray with either a mix of dark green and white for the dark or lighter areas.
Also your ammo pouches are light green and I think the color for those was usually a Khaki or Dark Yellow shade when made of canvas, some were also Black when made of leather.
