Inspirations in the Munich's Old Pynakothek

Some shots from my (and my daughter) first visiting of the Munich's Old Pynacothek yesterday, it was a great experience and I've very enjoyed this day. It's an unbelievable inspiration to see the works of the old masters and I've also learned some things about using of colours

Very cool.  Some nice painting inspiration there.  Especially like the mounted noble and Landschneckts flirting with the ladies.

Sounds like a great trip.  Some very striking pieces represented by your photographs.  I had seen pictures of only a few of those works.

Wonderful images that raise some interesting points about Landsknecht clothing.

Surprising number of single colour outfits, still with lots of frills, puffs and slits, but all parts in the same colour.
Also in both the image of the Mounted Noble/Officer and the Artillery scene (parts of the same painting?) there are groups of figures in a uniform style/colour clothing, any clues as to who they are? Appear to be carrying halberds.

Lovely pictures! Thanks so much for sharing! I always struggle when choosing the right colours for my medieval civilians, so these are just perfect for ideas.
