Where do you get this black gesso at? I am always willing to try. I WISH I had NC climate.... ;)

I get it at Michaels, but any decent art supply store should have it.  Give it a shot - its all i use anymore...

I will be posting again on my blog soon. Also, don't worry about entries yet....painters are slackers (we know we are) and you are going to get a great deal of entries at the last minute.

I have something special in mind that I am working on so...there is entries in the wings.

Well, I need to check into something as the model I want to use is limited edition, I may have to swap for something else otherwise.

More prize donations added for Paint the City Pink and a possible prize category break down. Maybe even an extenstion.
Thoughts?

With the closing deadline of the Paint the City Pink fundraiser entries coming up, I have a couple of questions about how and when people would like the auction to happen.

When people requested a painting extension I was all up for it. The more people take part, the more money were raise at the end of the day.

But, I didn't think about the timing of it.

The original plan was to run the auction for 2 weeks starting on Dec 2nd.

Is this a bit close to the holidays though? Would it be better to be help in January instead?

The way I wanted to work it was to have a post on the blog with ALL of the pictures in. Each pic links to its own post where you can leave you bids.

Think that would work?

Have any other ideas?

Any other thoughts are welcome.

If I might but in on the off topic thread here, primer, You get "gesso" at craft stores, Micheal's here on my coast....but I have used auto primers in all sorts of climates including Hawaii and not had much problem that I remember... Most of these paint are used by body shops that don't shut down during rain. What exactly is the issue you have? In California I sometimes have the issue of heat drying paint and wash TOO fast!
