WIP Shanti Building
« on: 23 September 2012, 11:17:53 PM »
Hi everyone!

After three months and half in India i'm back, and i started working more intensely.
In the last two days I had been busy mainly with this little project, including the moulding and casting of the parts it's composed from.

With insides and removable roofs as well:

here's a teaser of the piece, it will be (hopefully) painted by a very very good professional painter, but in a time not defined, so i'll start posting this. I will upload a "making of" article on my website ASAP as well!

Cheers!
Jack

Thanks everyone!

Just forgot a part, the patch for the non-sanded square in the center of the main room:

Tomorrow i'll meet my partner, unfortunately he lives quite far from my house. after this time we will try to continue working via mail shipping, but for now... well, a meeting is quite necessary! =)

Looks good. What molds are you using for the corrugated metal?

Mine! I used to make my own mold. Some of them are also available for purchase, for this particular one i think i'll keep for myself, since i cannot guarantee a standard thickness or qualiy of the casts!

Beside of that, i'll make many more buildings soon, and start selling them, already built ^^

EDIT: forgot to say, i added some details on the roof.

Cheers

Nice, there both on the molds and such.

I was kicking around the idea of taking sheet plasticard and cutting it to parts, cast and glue like you did...
