The one time I tried to make an order from Warrior, they seemingly ignored me. I also didn't like that they had a minimum order value that had to be met for them to start processing the order (£10 I think, but I'm not sure if they have that anymore).

But they do have some stuff I want, so I'm not above trying to order from them again.

EDIT: Upon inspection, the minimum order value appears to be £5. My bad.

You are spot on there Wisecrack they are Marlburian figures which are form 1700-1704 so fit well for fighting pirates.

Warrior are IMHO a pld range of figures and though I havent seen them in the flesh I dont think the photos look too good. I would go for the Irregular pirates which are a nice range and very similar (think it was the same sculptor) as Eureka.

Aren't they the same figures?

How do the Irregulars compare to Foundry/Artizan etc.

Subjective, I know, but are they roughly similar height & build? They are nice & cheap - just what I need for town garrisons etc.

Cheers,
Ian

hey
Irregulars are good sculpting but are more flat and a bit little than foundry/artizan (28mm) ones.
Some have separated hands furnished randomly by Irregular (knife, pistol, dagger, sword, stick...).
i'll try to send pic as soon as it's possible.

Thanks Eric!

It doesn't matter if it's only the pirates, so long as I can get an idea of Irregular's "look". The soldiers will probably be about the same size.

I can always mount them on thicker bases if they are a little short.

depending on how many variations there is of each one and a few cannons from warrior i recon i could have a reasonably sizely crew in a few weeks. but i dont really want ot go buying GW priate game. there probaly for looking at more than playing like.  :D

I never realised Foundrys had such fat arses

Hmm, the Irregular looks good from the front, but the side-view isn't so impressive.

Still, they are cheap  :)
