Thanks all!

Astonishing, Jens, just astonishing! :-*

Now then, how does the inside look? ;)

Something like 3/4 done, I guess. Most areas (except for the staircase, which is still only flourbombed) at least had contact with a brush. But there's still a lot of detail work to do, and the thought of writing Chinese free-hand scares me no end. I'll probably fall back to print-outs simply glued to the walls.

What all the others have said and more!! :o :-* o_o

No games yet. At the moment, the staircase would be the only point to go up and down, so naturally, all of the bloodshed will take place there. Games will have to wait until the backside is completed, which will be completely open, and provide more space for moving.

Probably the best bit of terrain modeling I've ever seen. Sensational.

What can I say, that hasn't been said? I am stunned!

Back from Tactica...

Here is what I managed to complete for the show :)

Interior complete with the ceiling pieces.

View down the staircase. It's a bit hard to take pictures, but gives a nice cramped impression :)

Temporary bar. I had to use the card game and counter from my last project, no time to build Mah Jongg tables.

And the facades once more. Balconies are now glued down, complete with washing, potted plants and various other clutter. Mrs Zafarelli also took it upon herself to coat the windows with PVA to make them look a bit more like ... well, windows.

There are still a lot of poorly or completely unpainted details, signs and graffiti in the interior are missing, cables down the front are not yet in place, but on the whole, I'm rather pleased with the result so far. I even had a guy coming up to me who told me that he lived in Hongkong during the 80ies, and that this would completely look the part. Pleasant to hear, that ;D

I am impressed in how much that you did get done.
Now be a good chap and get back to finishing everything off so that we can marvel some more!

I absolutely love this project. I've wanted to do something like this ever since watching the first Ghost in the Shell film (which is set in Hong Kong rather than Tokyo) but I have neither the skill, patience or drive to do so. Can't wait to see it progress even futher!
