Eurozone friends; has anyone used 1 Euro cent coins as bases?

Hello! I have used pennies and 15mm washers for my 15mm figures, neither are really ideal as pennies are too large and the washers are not magnetic. From my googling It seems that 1 cent coins are tiny, and magnetic? Has anyone used them with magnetic sheet for storage, and if so how well do they work?

I use them for 15mm and 20mm figs. When stuck onto magnetic sheet they stay on perfectly.

Sames true of pennies and tuppences of a certain date though., You should also consider the economic effects though.

If lots of British currency is used it strengthens Sterling, start using euro coins and it weakens it. Not trying to start a pan-LAF basing war honest!

I haven't used cents because for my taste, they're too thin and light. I prefer thicker washers, which give better stability by being heavier. You can get them reasonably cheap, too - though to be honest, I don't worry much about the cost of a washer after paying for the minis

I may be being stupid, but I'm not sure where to get washers that hold themselves on the sheet. I picked up stainless steel washers and although they are very slightly magnetic, they are nowhere near 'strong' enough to hold themselves on. That said, I've only been looking on ebay.

Ok, two Argentine pesos is about 40 cents or about four times what I would pay for a washer but given the state of Argentina's economy, it's just a waiting game before parity is achieved. Give it six months to a year.

 Hmmm I might start speculating on the steel 3/4" washer market. Aregntinos are always grateful to get hard currency.

No, but they are attracted to magnets, unlike other coins.
If you do buy washers, get the plated ones, not the stainless steel ones, much cheaper and with more sticking power. They will never beat the eurocenten cost wise though.
