Republican Roman from Aventine Miniatures
« on: October 04, 2012, 08:09:24 PM »
Hi,

normally I´m a great fan of the SYW and that´s the period I like to paint most.

But I wanted to get some alternation and tried to paint up a Republican Roman.

This is a test figure. So please feel free if you want to give some advice. I´m not quite sure whether the figure is historically correct or not.

There are some more pictures on my blog.

Cheers
Mike

He looks good to me Mike.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Can he see anything?  :D

No idea about historical correctness but I think it's absolutely ok. IIRC there's no real evidence about the colours used for roman gear  ???
