Nuts - War Without End in 15mm (Mechwarrior conversions)
« on: October 15, 2012, 09:59:17 AM »
While still playing Nuts, a Two hour wargame game in WW2, I will play the weird war supplement too. I will use my 15mm historic miniatures. For the super science stuff, I repaint some old Mechwarrior minis. Here are the first :

I am painting pulp and super miniatures from Rebel minis for heroes.

I might use some Cthulhu creatures for some fantastic and occult elements sometime :

VERY cool, can't wait to see your after action reports and how you handle the Cthulean baddies!
Play the game, not the players!

They look great. Good job on the Cap.

The sword he sung a song of death,
But could not make the sickle yield."

I have finished some Rebel minis zombies :

...and made my first battle : a german assault on US positions. Some zombies and ZX gaz, nazi female super officer, a Tesla StuG, some mechs, but Captain America, nowhere :

The tiger approach the fortified hill in the fog.

The ZX gaz pushed by the wind, the true nighmare for the americans, turning some of them into zombies and attacking their comrades.

Mechwarrior mechs are tricky for WWW@, a lot of them look way too high-tech.  But you chose carefully, I see.  And GREAT idea for the Red Skull there... I was wondering what to do with that "officer zombie" figure - I don't see Z's having a real command structure or ability to use firearms.

That's true, not every mechwarriors could be used for wwii.
You have semi-intelligent zombies in ATZ supplement "I Zombie" but not in War Without End.

You could easily add "Smart Zombies" from ATZ to the mix. Yhey'd port over just fine to WWE as a type of Zed-X gas zombie, most likely, since you do have "Ragers" in WWE, and I Zombie recommends you introduce them in combo with Ragers.
