An overcomplication or addition? Weather in dux britanniarum
« on: October 19, 2012, 06:38:45 PM »
It's been a rubbish day here in the south west, raining all day, glad it's the weekend. The upshot is that the terrible weather gave me an idea; could it be possible to have weather special rules for Dux britanniarum? Ideas would be fine, light rain; heavy rain fog?, hot and windy.
Rain would give negative modifiers to movement and shooting, and hot weather could slow men down. Don't know if this is a good idea or will it just bog the game down (pun intended  :D)? I have noticed that many games seem to ignore the weather element, which i guess was important in reality to a degree.

The weather plays and has played a large roll in real warfare so why not?
it seems most wargames are fought on a mild summers day...not too hot so the armoured types would overheat and not too wet or windy so the archers etc can always fire at full power
I knew the truck didn´t want to hit me...it had dodge written on the front
