Yeah those are excellent...very subtle with the shading.

I don't recognize these figures though...Where are they from?

Cheers,

Blue

Beautiful job, they look great. Might I ask what matt varnish you used?

Chris, those are from the Rackham/Confrontation Cadwallon line (Cadwallon was the setting for Rackham's RPG game. Something like Mordheim, only not so "Hit-by-a-comet-y"):

Revell, the brush on sort. Works pretty consistently.

The Cadwallon line was pretty much the pinnacle of Rackham's art before their descent into pre-painted plastic, madness and death. There are also some interesting Cadwallon resin figures being released through CMON (Cool Mini Or Not) as part of the Legacy Miniatures line (resin casts of hard-to-find Cadwallon sculpts and new resin figures based on some of the Cadwallon concept art):

These guards looks as good as, or even better, as the ones from the Rackham catalogue. You did a really great job.

Now, that is serious! You should close that educational gap quickly! ^^

signed. Strange that such horrible story can be put in such short words  lol

@ stone
brilliant! they look fantastic! I tried mine with some simple washing techniques and I am quite comfortable with them, but yours are marvelous! Thanks for sharing!

Very nice paint work (jealousy passes eventually.)  Like the neutral colors with darkish shadows.

The "dragging on the ground" sword appearance looks odd and sadly diminishes the figures more than slightly to my eyes, did anyone historically actually wear weapons that dragged on the ground?

My concept of Fantasy is "solidly based in history with 'Magic' or 'Psi powers' layered on top."

Gracias,

Glenn
