Latin American Monster Hunters 7, 8 and a group shot
« on: November 11, 2012, 08:47:40 PM »
Lucky 7. This lead was a figure of the month from Old Glory. The book suggests that he's the krewe's secretery. I attempted to hide his big cuffs as gauntlets by painting it all the same colour. The illusion works at normal distance, these close ups are unmerciful. Number 8 and the group shot will be posted as replies.

The last, but far from least, of the monster hunting krewe. This figure is from the Warmachine Mercenary line. He's the Krewe's president decked out in the regalia of his office. Group shot to follow!

Ladies and gentlemen! Allow me to introduce, Ye Mystic Krewe of The Knights Of San Miguel. A month and a half of painting and a chunk out of lead mountain. The figures are posed on a faux Aztec plant holder. I realized that there's an 18th century look to the group but many organizations have archaic clothing as livery. In my neck of the woods we have social/civic groups called Krewes. Each Krewe dresses up in costumes reflecting their theme, gaucho, gamblers, gypsies. Regardless of the theme the costumes look either sort of pirate or kind of cowboy. All the figures were from the primed or partially painted pile and I'm going to try and keep that going with their opponents.
