Some Lizardmen Askari WIP

I have for some time wanted to add some lizardmen to my British VSF and while I have seen many good convertions based on GW Skink og Saurus I didn't really want to go that way, so I looked around and could not really find anything.

But at some point the Space 1889 Lizardmen caught my attention and then I forgot all about it again. Untill I got a private message by Swiftnick asking for my adresse as he apparently had some he wanted to give me.


This is what he sent me...


And this is what they look like now...

Fistly I decided to cut them off their bases and put them on washers.

Secondly I decided to give them new rifles from Empress, so they would have a more uniform look and fit in with my Empress brits.

Now I am waiting for the greenstuff and glue to dry and then give them a basecoat and some colours.

So far I am very happy with the result and lok forward to finish them.

  So thanks very much to Swiftnick for thinking of me with these nice models.

Seriously, you can see their ankles! 

Great so far, and smashing resurrection; I enjoy the Evil Empire (tm) used in VSF, but these really DO say lizard men.

By the way, or BTW in the current idiom, are these based on the old Reptiliads? Not familiar enough with those to be sure but do look like some of the images I'm finding.

These should be open handed Reptiliads, which can be bought from the Space 1889 line, then they have been bent in their arms to carry the rifles.
