i'm not familiar with this IndieGoGo stuff. is there any possibility to purchase the stuff after the project is finished (don't see anything on the Studio Miniatures site)?

Thanks for these pics. They look great.

I imagine that once those who have pledged orders have shipped first they will go up for general sale.

A few painted pics. I decided to cut them off of the small bases from now on.

I like what you've done so far.
What company is that female survivor from?

Thanks! These were half hour paint jobs, just dampbrushing and washes.

I have to say I'm very unimpressed by the studio miniatures zeds, nothing to do with your qick PJ, just for all the hype, pretty poor minis and so limited in poses. Glad I didn't back them. Won't stop me grabbing one sprue and kitbashing, but that's about it tbh.

Love the survivor though, might consider grabbing here though  :-*

I really like that survivor, very cool.  Not sure if I'll get behind your kickstarter or not, I hope to, but funds with Christmas coming may not allow it.

I'm a little disappointed with the Studio Plastics as well, despite backing them.   They're all very well sculpted of course, but just a little too bland and unique at the same time.  By bland, I mean the four bodies are really so close to the same pose that it doesn't matter.  They have different outfits, and you can arrange their arms slightly differently, but really, I would have liked some significantly different leg/body arrangements.  Maybe something more lurched forward for just one pose.
And one the other hand, some of the heads are just too unique, and I would have preferred more generic.   For example, the hard hat head is really cool, it looks great.  But how many times am I going to want to use it over and over?  It may play out cool for one scenario where the survivors have to go through a recently infected construction site, but over all a bit weird.  Same thing for the faces with the skin ripped completely off.  These are cool heads on their own, but don't hold up so well when you have to use them over and over in a horde.

I'll still make good use of them, and the price was certainly right for filling out the horde.  I shouldn't really say I'm disappointed with the result, because I'm not.  But it could have been more impressive, I think.

The hardhat head is on a seperate resin sprue, not part of the plastic set.

I got mine today. Pretty quick turn around.  I wasn't expecting them because they were supposed to send notices to backers as they shipped.

I tried the integrated base in a Mantic base, but no luck.  It's bigger than the integrated bases on Mantic minis.  On the plus side, I think it's big enough to use as is.  I'd been mounting any Z that I could on 20mm bases anyway.

I was hoping I could mix and match heads with Mantics zombies and ghouls, but IMO the Mantic heads are a bit too big for the Studio zombies.  Some of the Studio heads might work with the Mantic bodies, but it will be close.  They are a closer fit for the Wargames Factory zombies, so the extra heads might help dress those up a bit.

(Note: The packaging that says that the box contains 60 miniatures but this is not the case. This might just be a typo.)

40 zombies plus 3 metal ones and 8 resin heads for $30. Good deal!

It does state 60 on the website as well ,but doesnt mention the 3 metal ones ?

40 per pack was what was promised as part of the Indiegogo, I believe.  And I don't think they are counting the resin bonuses.

EDIT: On the indiegogo site Stuart says that the 40 per pack is the indiegogo deal, and the packages will be sold as 60 per pack at an increased price for the general public.

They certainly look less like potatoes than the Wargames Factory ones (which I have).

That's unfair. I'd much rather paint a potato and play with that than put another WF figure together and use that. I've given most of my sprues away - and likely spread the virus...

I got my set today and I am fond of them.  There are a few things I would have done differently (no sculpted on bases, more variety in the body pose)  but over all these are very good minis for the price.  For someone just starting a horde, I don't think you can do better than a couple packs of Studio's plastics.

If it is any help I have used the man tic bases with integral bases recently to help reduce the height. Some trimming may be needed but it works. You can order the bases from man tic in square or round.
