New Steampunk miniatures (28mm). Sculpted by Paul Hicks

BG-STM101 Russian Characters (5)
BG-STM021 Prussian Troopers in Rebreathing Apparatus (5)
BG-STM025 Prussian Officer in Rebreathing Apparatus (1)

http://www.brigadegames.com/VSF--Steampunk_c_49.html

Note that the Russian Priest actually has been sculpted with a crossbow slung across his chest.
Also, for the Prussian Officer, "speaker horns" were added to his apparatus to allow him to issue commands to his troopers.

Very nice  :-*  8) but really trying to stay away from the larger  ::) figures unless they fit into Spanish VSF on Venus  ??? or Colonial Spanish/opponents   :) circa 1690 - 1840 North America.

I like the sculpting fine but Prussian looking Spanish?? I just can't easily twist those into my games.

Gracias,

Glenn

Very nice - All of them.
I've often thought there are a lot of interesting possibilities for a Russian VSF force.
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

Damnation - some pretty tempting sculpts there - particularly the first few.
They were all drawn to the Keep; the soldiers who brought death; the father and daughter fighting for life; the people who have always feared it; and the one man who knows its secret....

Very interesting figures.
Some of the Russians could be used for RCW.
Like the look of the Prussians.

Possible to see a comparitive picture with some other figs from other Brigade lines to see their "size" better? "28mm" is getting pretty loose in definition these days.

Argh.  I do NOT want to make a Prussian army...  I don't.  Really.,.

Sigh.  It'd be so easy...

If they have been commissioned to Paul as having to be "true 28's", I have no doubt they are just that.  As far as I'm concerned, this is the size Dystopian Legions should be to fit in with other models suitable for VSF/SP.  One more (big) advantage: you just buy the figures you want and do not have to pay for all sorts of "extra's" in the box, which you probably don't want/need.  A shame that Spartan hasn't realised people like to mix different manufacturer's models in their VSF settings, otherwise they would have sticked to true 28's.  This said, I'm a great fan of their Dystopian navies, but I feel they have made a mistake with their figures, scalewise and in not offering them as just figure sets.  They may still adjust the packaging, "shrinking size" is another matter...

Love them!...but a crossbow on the priest? what was someone thinking? silly if you ask me how about a large religious scepter or cross that he bangs / inspires people with. Better yet  leave the hand open and give us several options to place in it!!!
