Deep Wars Painted Fortune Hunters
« on: November 24, 2012, 11:15:16 PM »
Picked these up at Rock-Con, pretty interested in carrying them in the future.

Armored Dive Soldier:

Sea Dog:

And how the size up with our own stuff:

I also wrote up a review of them on my blog if anyone is interested.
Recreational Conflict: www.recreationalconflict.com

Jibbery style oinkery which don't make no damn sense.

Look pretty cool

Very cool minis and paint jobs!
I like the glow effect on the eyes.

The lads have been tempting me for some time, and I agree they seem to work well with yours.

Have a bit of a weird request, tho'. If by some chance you have an old Mage Knight Deep One around, would you do a similar piccie with it in the group?

I expect it to be dwarf'd, but think it's as good as anything to give a sense of scale and form.

Thanks!

Doug

Sure, I'll try to dig one up. I'm pretty sure they were somewhat large though.

Here we go, Mage Knight, Heroclix, Horrorclix, World of Warcraft, and Dreamblade stuff:

There is a Deep One in the original Horrorclix set which might be what you're thinking about, but I don't believe I have one. It looks to be about the same size as the brown fishman on the left.

What's the name of that Mageknight piece right in front of the Fortune Hunter? The guy in the suit with a trident.

Same cast, different paint, if I recall right. Whatever, that's the one I was thinking, and they work much better than I'd imagined!

I've several Deep Ones and Iron Lungs for a never-realized Nemo meets the Fish Men game I wanted to do. I think the awesomeness of your painting made me think it HAD to be larger. ;->=
