Is it a 50 ft Woman!? Is it Owlbears!? Is it Klakks from Dimension X?

NO!

It is Saxon bowmen!

I have little or no idea what these guys would look like, but I claim the right of 'historical fantasy' and have painted them as I saw fit.

Any colour is pretty much fine. really rich black, purple or blue are expensive, but other colours are totally fine. A good rich red was afordable as wer erich and dark greens, and greys. Washed out and pale purple or blue were also usable. DOnt ofrget, pink was a mans colour back then......

With the heathen hordes massing on the Saxon Shire, it time for reinforcements - quality over quantity with the six man Comitatus (shields will be done last)

and the first named character: the son of a centurian, Iago is a man mountain with the constitution of an ox (sort of a slim Jimbibbly  ;) ):

I'm not overly happy with the leather straps to his armour. So they may get tweaked later  :)
