That sounds like it might be a bit of a plan Skurv - count me in for a turtle and howdah if you do have a chat with Nic.

Can't wait to see your steam-powered Dalek - Dr Who is another passion of mine!

I like the sound of those 9 pounders too  8)

Deafnala - if old Galapagos Jim there turns out as well as your last bit of Mega-Fauna (the hairy Rhino - can't remember her name I'm afraid!) then it'll be quite the centrepiece.

Talking of drinking establishments, I remember when I used to work Down South, there was a right old dive of a bar called the Purple Turtle in Reading - the sort of place you wiped your feet on the way out so as not to get the pavement dirty! Great selection of international bottled beers though  :D

There's also the old Grateful Dead reference you could get in somehow as a name - Terrapin Station.

I'll do my best on Jim or may be Jumbo Jimbo. He's from the same outfit that makes Lulu, the horny Girl you remember: http://s762.photobucket.com/albums/xx269/DeafNala/WHFB/Lulu%20-%20The%20Land%20Waster/ . I wound up with two more of the rhinos also.

Michaels, my craft store of choice, carries quite an array of Beasties...even a couple Mega-Crabs...well "Mega" for 28mm minis.
I'd NEVER join a club that would have me as a member.  G.Marx

Cheers Scurv  :)

Ah, good old Lulu - thanks Deafnala!

Here's the link to the rest of the range I've got painted up.

Don't know if it's even a possibility, but I would love to see some Goblin Monks in this style--unarmed fighters essentially in rough traveling gear.  I know they don't quite fit the milieu these figures go with, but just airing my desires in the hopes someone from 4A might consider it!

An unarmed figure might be useful as a crew member - perhaps for a heavy weapon.

That turtle would look pretty sweet, Scurv.  I would be down for one if I hadn't bought so much other stuff this month  lol.  Hopefully some other members here can take you up on the offer and impress us all with their conversion abilities.

Hmmm - looks like I'll be needing some crewmen with a current and clean HAR (Heavy Amphibious Reptile) license...  ;)

Sounds good Scurv - sounds like they just need go fasta stripes!

Would some kind of insignia or contrasting pattern on the crew's shells help make them stand out a little more?

I'm itching to paint my turtle (which sounds all kinds of wrong!) and it'll be nice to have it ready by the time I'e got the Gobbo crewmen ready.

Nice work indeed - would some kind of stripe or detailing in black or other dark colour along the top edges of the armour plates of the howdah create enough of a break to differentiate the crewturtles? Might be a bit easier than detailing the shells of the crew!

I reckon I can squeeze 3 Gobbo's in the front, 2 in the top and 2 in the back compartment.
