Gladiator, Myrmillo vs Thracian fight AAR
« on: 09 December 2012, 08:53:37 AM »
The longest and most tense fight of all 3 was provided by the Myrmillo vs Thracian pairing. 13 turns of hacking shields and making flesh wounds before one of them was defeated. Full AAR and more pictures on my blog.

I should be able to get a couple of larger fights played down at the club today.

Lovely PJ on the gladiators and cracking arena.
I bloody love the wound markers tho. TCR on clear counters?
This seems like a nice game for solo play what rules are you using?

The sickle in the fruitful field;
The sword he sung a song of death,
But could not make the sickle yield."

The blood markers are made with clear EM4 markers stipled with a mix of very old out of production GW Red Ink and Flesh Wash ink. http://anatolisgameroom.blogspot.se/2011/08/bloodcasualty-tokens-tutorial.html

I'm using Warhammer Historical Gladiator rules, with my house rule tweaks and additions. And yeah it works just fine playing solo as well as with multiple players. Solo battles are perhaps the most fair and have the least amount of "human interference" if you play solo as they are pretty straight up affairs.
