Hey guys I've started running a Battletech campaign for our local Battletech group.  The campaign is set on Antallos (Port Krin) and is set during the 2nd Succession Wars.  We are using the terrain rules and I will be doing after action reports on a special campaign blog.

Here is a shot of the table for our first terrain battle which was the 2nd engagement of the campaign.
Here is the campaign blog:  http://antallosshadowfeed.blogspot.com/
I'll also be posting painted miniatures and terrain projects here and on my regular blog.

Very cool...I've been tempted to do a side Battletech project simply because I have an abundance of extra Robotech miniatures sitting around.  Very tempting!

Awesome report and pics IW! I'm a long time Btech player myself and I love it when people post anything 31st century! As much as all of the 'Eras' of the game are great fun, its refreshing to see a good old 3025 era game with no mess and no frills!  ;)

More! More! More!  ;D

Here are some shots of the terrain set ups for our next session.  Lots of new stuff.  I'll make a more detailed terrain post soon.

I don't know if anyone is even following this but I have another short report up:  This one actually involves the NPC Mechwarriors that are part of our player groups company.  Just a little skirmish to give them an idea of other things going on.

Man, that terrain and the Unseen mechs looks so cool...

I played two matches using the QuickStrike rules a while ago, it was muc hfun, if a little brutal, but certainly much faster than the 3+ hour long sessions with normal BT rules =)

Great work, Nathan! I really like the paint jobs and terrain!

We also play a lot of Quick Strike. Hope it gets its own book one day!

That looks good. The mechs look dead hard too which is amazing considering how much I loathe the battletech sculpting style.

I'm with Scurv. Really excellent job on those mechs. Normally I don't give them a second look.

I've always kind of seen Battletech mechs as having no style.  They are all over the place.  Some I like and some are lame.

All of the "good" ones were essentially copies of other IP's...in fact almost all of the favorites were eventually disallowed as agreements expired etc.

The in-house FASA stuff has been pretty horrible by comparison.  That being said I haven't been in Battletech for ten years.  I only ever had 3025-3050, and...3075? books.  There were a ton of really half-ass designs.  Many of the older sketches, mechs were 100% proprietary on each side of their bodies - legs and arms didn't match each other etc.

I've published another battlereport of a much larger fight than the other ones so far:

http://antallosshadowfeed.blogspot.com/2013/01/major-battle-near-sungate-citadel.html

The players ended up loosing this one but the other GM and I felt that they pulled out of the fight just as they were tipping the scales in their favor.
