VBCW Anglican League Van - Simple Die-cast Conversion.
« on: January 02, 2013, 08:16:45 PM »
I picked up a cheap die-cast van at my local model shop and decided to use it as part of my Anglican league force.
I will be painting up a Boys anti-tank rifle team to lay on the roof!!!!

Heavenly beautiful van (pardon the lame play of words there).

Just right amount of weathering on it and paint job looks very spiffy.

The extra wheels are strangely large, but the blue is beautiful and I love the billboards on top.

Very nice  :-*

I'm assuming that the radiator grill is the original toy metal and not a stunning paint job.

I'm not 100% sold on the grill. I agree it wouldn't be too dirty or rusty, but the spitshine chrome is just a hair too clean given that there is some dust and dirt and the grill itself is factory-floor spotless.

That said, the model is otherwise just phenomenally done. That's a beautiful blue you're using for your Anglican League vehicles. And the tail billboard is PERFECT lol

Hi Paul,
The signs were done using photoshop with "drop-shadow" being added to the lettering. You can get a similar effect using MS word.
