Vesparo's Vendetta
« on: 04 January 2013, 04:52:41 PM »
I've been a fantasy mood for months now, but I haven't posted any of my fantasy minis on LAF. I post regularly on the Otherworlds forum, and I've posted lots of stuff in the Science Fiction section here, but for some reason I never get around to showing off here. Anyway, this is the first post of many at the Fantasy corner of the Lead Adventure Forum. I give you Vesparo's Vedetta, a selection from the Warhammer Dogs of War army.

Hope you enjoy.

Welcome to the fantasy corner of LAF. Great paint jobs on some amazing figures, the red and bases look particularly good. I would personally like to see some bigger pics of your fantastic miniatures.

Cheers,
 Damien

Excellent paintjob there. I really like these minis and the choice of basing for them is great as well, they really suit the dark alleys of a city rather than a battlefield.

Yeah baby! These are the pics you need to post. They all look fantastic but the first guy with the skull... damn he looks good. I don't know about the rest of LAF but here in the Fantasy section we want big pics.

Great stuff,
 Damien

btw are those resin bases or did you sculpt them?

VERY FINE WORK on some old favorites. I agree with Damien; i.e., Vesparo looks particularly cool...appropriately enough.

Thank you DeafNala and Damien. I love the work you guys do.
Damien, I put the bases together by cutting out circles of this plastic cobblestone ground surface stuff I found at Micheals. They only sell it around Christmas, and it sells out quickly. I missed out this year and I'm kicking myself. I cut out the cobblestone circles and insert them into the Reaper 30mm bases. (The usual 30mm bases are too shallow.) Then I putty around the gap. It's a lot more work but I'm happy with the results. The great thing about making bases is I get to use my hobby time when I'm not in the mood to paint. I'm sure we all have those moments.
